At the moment, Westwood Environmental Club is working on an energy campaign throughout school. We're trying to lower the amount of energy used by our school by putting up analog clocks and asking teachers to switch their TVs and computers off when they're not in use.
Please help us in our noteworthy goal and show up to meetings and encourage your friends to join and help save the environment!
What Can You Do To Help The Environment?
- *You can turn off your engines while you're waiting in line or at red lights. This minimizes air pollution caused by car engines.
- *You can minimize your shower time.
- *You can turn off the faucet when brushing, shaving, washing your face etc. This can save 3 to 7 gallons per minute.
- *You can control the amount of water used by your clothes washers. Select the proper water level for each load of laundry. A front load washing machine uses 1/3 less water than a top loading machine.
